If you have a child with celiac disease or any other condition that requires you to cook certain foods with gluten or dairy, this recipe for easy gluten-free popcorn chicken is a must-try. It’s a fun, low effort recipe that uses a healthy oil for frying, and is a quick and filling meal for any night of the week.
Gluten free eating can be difficult, but this recipe is the ultimate in healthy, gluten free cooking. It is easy, full of flavor and it’s perfect for any occasion. Even if you have never eaten gluten free before, you will love it.
This is our basic popcorn chicken recipe that can be used to make the Chicken Tikka Masala or the Butter Chicken. We do not measure these ingredients, we do not use an exact amount of each ingredient. The only measurement is the amount of salt you use in the recipe. But remember, it is easier to make too much than too little of any ingredient. So, experiment with the ingredients a little bit, and see if you can use a little less salt or a little more salt than what the recipe calls for.
It All Comes Down To The Breading
Remember how we prepared the Curry Tofu Nuggets last week? Because that dish turned out so wonderfully, we knew we had to try it again with chicken. Isn’t it always about the breading? It makes sense to use a great breading that coats properly and crisps up in the oven on a regular basis.
You could create fried shrimp, coated lamb chops, or mozzarella sticks using the breading we provided, but we chose to make one of my favorite cuisines… Popcorn Chicken is gluten-free. It goes great with our Sugar-Free BBQ Sauce, too!

I know the first thing that comes to mind is, “Did they take this from Colonel Sandersl?” No. Colonel, there’s a new Colonel in town, and we came up with this recipe entirely on our own!

You can hear them sizzling and crackling as soon as you take them out of the oven, just like they do in Kentucky. You pop one, then two, and you’re convinced you’re in a Pringles commercial! “How did I replicate a meal that mimics two American food cornerstones?!?” you might wonder. We’re simply that good.
Process that has been tried and true
To be honest, we’ve been cooking this recipe for a few weeks. You already know how much we love Cobb salads, so adding popcorn chicken to the mix just added to our salad game. We’re a ‘go big or go home’ kind of family, so it occurred to us that if we like them, you will, too.
The recipe video above shows you how to create these and what they should look like step by step! Even if your relatives and friends disagree, serve this Popcorn Chicken is gluten-free. to them and they’ll assume you stopped at KFC on your way home! It’ll be a closely guarded secret.
